Winzip for Windows 10 is a tool for access and creating .zip and .zipx files.

Zipped files are a bit on the annoying side. Sure, they're a great way to compress files and get them from point A to point B with little fuss, but you've always got to go through the process of opening them back up. Fortunately, there are free and relatively painless ways that you can get through this process. WinZip is one of the better programs out there, letting you get to your files quickly and allowing you to work with other services like Drive and Dropbox with relative ease. You won't spend much time with WinZip, but that's only because you'll get done with all of your tasks quickly.

There's a few nitpicks that keep this from being a perfect program, of course. The user interface is really empty, and could probably use a major overhaul to fit in with a more modern aesthetic. There's also the fact that you can only work with .zip and .zipx files, which can be annoying if you are a fan of other file types. For the average user, this isn't going to be much of a problem.

It's very easy to recommend WinZip for Windows 10. You're going to encounter .zip files eventually, so you might as well get this program now. You probably won't have a great deal of fun using it, but you will get everything you need. Sometimes, all you can ask out of a simple utility is that it does the job correctly every time. This is definitely where WinZip excels.
